Present law provides for definitions of the "board of highways" and "department of highways" in Part
XI of Title 48. These terms are no longer used in Part XI.
Proposed law deletes these unused terms and provides for a definition of "department" which is used
throughout the Part in present law.
Effective August 1, 2016.
