DIGEST SB 389 Engrossed 2016 Regular Session Erdey Present law authorizes the issuance of various military honor license plates. Proposed law requires the issuance of a military honor license plate to a qualified disabled veteran who has a service-connected disability of 100% as determined by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs and who is a resident of this state. Provides for the plate to contain the designation "100% DAV" and the international symbol of accessibility. Requires issuance of the plate without a fee and without renewal requirements applicable to standard plates. Requires the secretary to establish such rules and regulations as are necessary to implement the provisions of proposed law. Provides for issuance of mobility-impaired hang tags to applicants for military honor license plates. Provides for the disposition of military honor license plates and hang tags. Effective August 1, 2016.
