1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact Subsection A of Section 4 of Act No. 105 of the 1976 Regular
3 Session of the Legislature, as amended by Act No. 222 of the 1977 Regular Session
4 of the Legislature, relative to the Saline Lake Game and Fish Preserve Commission;
5 to provide for additional members to the commission; to provide terms, conditions,
6 and requirements; and to provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. Subsection A of Section 4 of Act No. 105 of the 1976 Regular Session of
9 the Legislature, as amended by Act No. 222 of the 1977 Regular Session of the Legislature
10 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:

12 Section 4. A. There is hereby created the Saline Lake Game and Fish Preserve
13 Commission, to be composed of five seven qualified electors of the parishes of Winn and
14 Natchitoches. The governing authority of the parish of Winn shall appoint three four electors
15 of Winn Parish as members of the commission, and the governing authority of the parish of
16 Natchitoches shall appoint two three electors of Natchitoches Parish as members of the
17 commission. If, for any reason, a vacancy should occur on the commission, said vacancy

1 shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment for the remainder of the
2 unexpired term.
3 Each commissioner shall serve a term of four years, or until his successor is
4 appointed and qualified.

Present law provides for the creation and membership of the Saline Lake Game and Fish
Preserve Commission.
Present law provides that the commission consists of five members: three appointed from
the governing authority of Winn Parish and two appointed from the governing authority
Natchitoches Parish.
Proposed law increases the number of members from five to seven.
Proposed law increases the number of members appointed by the governing authority of
Winn Parish from three to four and increases the number of members appointed by the
governing authority of Natchitoches Parish from two to three.
Effective August 1, 2016.
