SB 402 Original 2016 Regular Session Morrell
Present law provides that it shall be unlawful to tie, tether, or restrain any animal in a manner that
is inhumane, cruel, or detrimental to its welfare. Provides certain exceptions.
Proposed law retains present law and provides that there shall be no exception to present law during
times when a hurricane, tropical storm, tornado, or flash flood warning has been issued for the
jurisdiction by the National Weather Service.
Effective August 1, 2016.
