PUBLIC BUILDINGS/GROUNDS. Names a certain complex of state buildings and area
in the city of Lafayette the Edgar G. "Sonny" Mouton, Jr. Sports and Entertainment Plaza.

1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 49:149.32, relative to the names of state buildings; to name a certain complex
3 of state buildings and area in the city of Lafayette the Edgar G. "Sonny" Mouton, Jr.
4 Sports and Entertainment Plaza; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 49:149.32 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง149.32. Edgar G. "Sonny" Mouton, Jr. Sports and Entertainment Plaza
8 The area encompassing state buildings and grounds in the city of
9 Lafayette bounded by West Congress Street to the north, Bertrand Drive to the
10 west, Reinhardt Drive and Souvenir Gate to the south, and the coulee feeding
11 into Coulee Mine to the east, and generally known as the Ragin' Cajun Athletics
12 Complex, the Cajundome, and the Cajundome Convention Center, is hereby
13 named and shall hereafter be known as the Edgar G. "Sonny" Mouton, Jr.
14 Sports and Entertainment Plaza.
15 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
16 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
17 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If

1 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
2 effective on the day following such approval.
