Commends Sergeant Jason Raborn on receiving a 2015 Life Saving Award. 1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION 2 To commend Sergeant Jason Raborn on receiving a 2015 Life Saving Award from the St. 3 John the Baptist Sheriff's Office and his extraordinary service and dedication to his 4 department and community. 5 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a sincere and heartfelt measure of commendation 6 be extended to Sergeant Jason Raborn of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office for 7 his dedication to public service and his consistent determination to serve and protect the 8 citizens of Louisiana as an outstanding law enforcement officer; and 9 WHEREAS, a committed and highly effective officer, Sergeant Raborn is currently 10 assigned to the 200 patrol shift as the patrol shift supervisor; and 11 WHEREAS, on August 15, 2015, Sergeant Raborn was instrumental in saving the 12 life of an unresponsive woman; and 13 WHEREAS, Sergeant Raborn acted quickly upon his arrival to the scene and 14 performed and assisted other officers in cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the woman until 15 emergency medical services arrived; and 16 WHEREAS, Sergeant Raborn's actions were not only heroic, but successful as the 17 woman was physically and verbally responding to hospital staff only hours later; and 18 WHEREAS, as demonstrated by this lifesaving act and his steadfast commitment to Page 1 of 2 SCR NO. 55 SLS 16RS-238 ORIGINAL 1 excellence every day on the job, Sergeant Raborn truly embodies the ideals of the mission 2 of the St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office to improve the quality of life in the parish through 3 integrity, professionalism, compassion, and fairness. 4 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 5 commend Sergeant Jason Raborn of the St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office for his 6 extraordinary service and dedication and on his receipt of a 2015 Life Saving Award. 7 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to 8 Sergeant Jason Raborn of the St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office.
