The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, or her duly authorized and 32appointed agent, is hereby authorized and directed to reduce the State General Fund (Direct) 33appropriations contained in Act No. 67 of the 2016 Regular Session of the Legislature in the 34amount of Three Million Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Seventy- 35Three and No/100 Dollars ($3,788,273.00). The Legislative Budgetary Control Council is hereby authorized and 2directed to reduce the State General Fund (Direct) appropriation contained in Act No. 77 of 3the 2016 Regular Session of Legislature for the Louisiana Legislature in the amount of One 4Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Eight and No/100 Dollars 5($1,650,438.00). 6 Section 3.B. The appropriation for the legislative auditor contained in Section 3 of 7Act No. 77 of the 2016 Regular Session of the Legislature is hereby amended and reenacted 8to read as follows: 9 On page 5, between lines 28 and 29, insert the following: 10 "(F) Notwithstanding any provision of this Section to the contrary, the 11 legislative auditor shall remit $2,000,000 from the Legislative Auditor Ancillary 12 Enterprise Fund to the state treasurer for deposit into the state general fund." 13 Section 4. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the state treasurer 14is hereby authorized and directed to transfer to the State General Fund (Direct) the amounts 15of any reduction in State General Fund by Fees and Self-generated Revenues, Statutory 16Dedications, or Interagency Transfers reduced as provided or recognized in this Act, 17excluding any reductions contained in Section 1.F., and the amounts of any reductions in 18State General Fund by Fees and Self-generated Revenues or Statutory Dedications approved 19and certified by the Joint Legislative Committee. The state treasurer shall make such 20transfers from each fund prior to fully funding the appropriation from the fund. Within ten 21days after the effective date of this Act, the state treasurer shall make all transfers provided 22in this Act. In the event that the amount of any reduction in State General Fund by Fees and 23Self-generated Revenues, Statutory Dedications, or Interagency Transfers being transferred 24to the State General Fund (Direct) are insufficient to fully fund the reduction made from 25such fund source on that date following the effective date of this Act or on that date the 26amount remaining in Fees and Self-generated Revenues, Statutory Dedications, or 27Interagency Transfers is insufficient to fully fund the reductions required by this Act and the 28appropriation remaining after the reductions in this Act, the treasurer shall notify the 29commissioner of administration and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 2signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 3by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 4vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 5effective on the day following such approval.
