APPROPRIATIONS/SUPPLEML: Makes supplemental appropriations for Fiscal Year
2016-2017 (Item #1)
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds and to make certain reductions in appropriations from certain sources
3 to be allocated to designated agencies and purposes in specific amounts for the
4 making of supplemental appropriations for Fiscal Year 2016-2017; to provide for an
5 effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The following sums are hereby appropriated from the sources specified
8and in the amounts specified for the purpose of making supplemental appropriations for
9Fiscal Year 2016-2017. Reductions are denoted in parentheses.

36managed care payment in Fiscal Year 2016-2017 when the Department of Revenue prevails
37in the suit, appeal, or petition associated with the legislative instrument which originated as
38House Concurrent Resolution No.8 of the 2015 Regular Session of the Legislature and
39transfer the amount paid in protest and held in escrow in accordance with R.S. 47:1576 to
40the State General Fund, and in the event the monies are recognized by the Revenue

3 Section 4A. Notwithstanding any provisions of law to the contrary, any
4appropriation contained in Schedule 20-901 Sales Tax Dedications or Schedule 20-945 State
5Aid to Local Governmental Entities, in Act No. 17 of the 2016 Regular Session of the
6Legislature which appropriation has a valid Cooperative Endeavor Agreement on June 30,
72017, shall be deemed a bona fide obligation through December 31, 2017 and all other
8provisions of the Cooperative Endeavor Agreements, including but not limited to, the
9reporting requirements, shall be performed as agreed.
10 Section 4B. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any appropriation
11contained in Other Requirements, Schedule 20-901 Sales Tax Dedications in Act 14 of the
122013 Regular Session of the Legislature for the Town of Delhi for the Cave Theater in the
13amount of $20,000 shall be deemed a bona fide obligation through June 30, 2018 and all
14provisions of the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement executed between the Town of Delhi and
15the Department of the Treasury, including but not limited to the requirements shall be
16performed as agreed.
17 Section 4C. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any appropriation
18contained in Other Requirements, Schedule 20-901 Sales Tax Dedications in Act 54 of the
192013 Regular Session of the Legislature for the Town of Arnaudville in the amount of
20$20,000 shall be deemed a bona fide obligation through June 30, 2018 and all provisions of
21the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement executed between the Town of Arnaudville and the
22Department of the Treasury, including but not limited to the requirements shall be performed
23as agreed.
24 Section 5. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any appropriation
25payable with Statutory Dedications out of the State Emergency Response Fund or Statutory
26Dedications out of the Overcollections Fund contained in Schedule 01-112 Department of
27Military Affairs, Schedule 08A Department of Corrections, Schedule 09-306 Medical
28Vendor Payments, and Schedule 10-360 Department of Children and Family Services in this
29bill shall be deemed a bona fide obligation through June 30, 2018. Any such appropriation

1shall be subject to the recognition by the Revenue Estimating Conference of such funds
2being available.
3 Section 6. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
4signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
5by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
6vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
7effective on the day following such approval.
