Abstract: Authorizes the governing authority of Livingston Parish to pay per diem of up to $100 to
members of the parish council planning commission.
Present law authorizes parishes and municipalities to create planning commissions for the purpose
of making and adopting a master plan for the physical development of the parish or municipality.
Provides for composition of the commission. Requires members of a parish or municipal planning
commission to serve without compensation.
Proposed law retains present law but provides an exception for members of the Livingston Parish
planning commission. Authorizes the governing authority of Livingston Parish to pay per diem to
members of the commission for attending meetings of the commission. Provides that per diem shall
not be more than $100 and shall not be paid for more than 24 meetings per year.
