ACT 20 (HB 12) 2017 Regular Session Mack
Existing law authorizes a parish or municipality to create a planning commission for the
purpose of making and adopting a master plan for the physical development of the parish or
municipality. Provides for composition of such a commission. Provides that members of a
planning commission serve without compensation.
New law provides an exception for members of the Livingston Parish planning commission.
Authorizes the governing authority of Livingston Parish to pay per diem to members of the
commission for attending meetings of the commission. Provides that per diem shall not be
more than $100 and shall not be paid for more than 24 meetings per year.
Effective August 1, 2017.
