ACT 5 (HB 24) 2017 Regular Session	Thibaut
Existing law provides that the governing authority of any parish may create a tourist
commission. Specifically creates certain tourist commissions including the West Baton
Rouge Parish Tourist Commission. Provides that, unless provided otherwise, a commission
shall be governed by a board of seven directors to be appointed by the governing authority
of the parish.
New law provides that the West Baton Rouge Parish Tourist Commission shall be governed
by a board of nine directors. Further provides that one of the two additional members shall
be appointed by the parish governing authority and the other by the board of directors of the
tourist commission.
Effective August 1, 2017.
