Abstract:  Dissolves the La. Immersive Technologies Enterprise Commission and provides for the
transfer of ownership and authority regarding its property.
Present law establishes the La. Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) and creates the La.
Immersive Technologies Enterprise Commission (commission).  Present law provides for the
authority, powers, duties, and functions of the commission.
Proposed law deletes present law effectively dissolving the commission.
Proposed law provides that ownership of all property of the commission, movable or immovable,
corporeal or incorporeal, shall be transferred to the Univ. of La. at Lafayette.
Proposed law provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, including
but not limited to present law (Titles 17, 39, and 41 of the La. Revised Statutes of 1950), the Bd. of
Supervisors for the Univ. of La. System, acting through the President of the Univ. of La. at Lafayette,
has the authority to grant leases of any portion of the LITE building to public or private lessees
without the necessity of advertisement or bid.

Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Commerce to the original bill:
1. Provide that ownership of all property of the commission, movable or immovable,
corporeal or incorporeal, shall be transferred to the Univ. of La. at Lafayette, in general,
rather than to a particular office of that university.
