Present law defines "polysomnographic technician" or "permit technician" as an allied health professional who holds a permit issued by the LSBME to practice polysomnography under the direct supervision of the physician or a qualified allied health professional licensed by the LSBME whose scope of practice includes polysomnography. Proposed law repeals present law.
