PROPERTY/PUBLIC:  Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Bossier Parish
1	AN ACT
2To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Bossier Parish; to provide for the property description; to
4 provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to provide
5 an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
8of Health, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, are hereby authorized
9and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest, excluding mineral
10rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of property
11to the Arc of Acadiana:
12	A tract of land containing 91.402 acres, more or less, located in Section 7,
13 Township 18 North, Range 12 West and Section 12, Township 18 North, Range 13
14 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described as follows:
15	From the centerline intersection of the KCS Railroad Main Line with the
16 centerline of Shed Road, run North 36° 03' 56" East, along said centerline of Shed
17 Road having a 60 foot dedication, a distance of 2,010.29 feet to a point being the
18 centerline intersection with the future Interstate 220; run thence South 85° 49' 26"
19 West, along said centerline of future Interstate 220, a distance of 42.30 feet to the
20 intersection with the West right-of-way line of Shed Road; run thence North 36° 03'
21 56" East, along said West right-of-way line of Shed Road, a distance of 295.21 feet

1 to the point of beginning of the tract herein described; continue thence North 36° 03'
2 56" East, along said West right-of-way line of Shed Road, a distance of 192.86 feet
3 to the point of curvature of a curve to the left having the following data: Delta= 32°
4 59' 23", Tangent= 125.51 feet and Radius+ 423.84 feet; run thence Northeasterly
5 along said curve, a distance of 244.04 feet; run thence North 47° 27' 23" East, a
6 distance of 315.41feet; run thence North 62° 11' 40" East, a distance of 436.61 feet;
7 run thence North 85° 49' 26" East, a distance of 200 feet; run thence South 56° 27'
8 20" East, a distance of 327.67 feet; run thence North 77° 45' 56" East, a distance

14 distance of 454.80 feet to the intersection with the centerline of Mack's Bayou;
15 thence traversing said centerline of Mack's Bayou, run North 52° 52' 16" West, a
16 distance of 146.93 feet; run thence North 42° 47' 23" West, a distance of 300.33 feet;
17 run thence North 22° 53' 40" West, a distance of 105.95 feet; run thence North 70°

2 east having the following data: Delta = 2° 34' 37", Tangent = 510.41 feet and Radius
3 = 22, 693.31 feet; run thence easterly, along said curve a distance of 1,020.66 feet;
4 run thence North 85° 49' 26" East, a distance of 1,067.33 feet to the point of
5 beginning, all as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
6 being a survey plat dated July 15, 1970, revised August 4, 1970, by Demopulos and
7 Ferguson, Inc., Consulting Engineers.
8 Section 2.  The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
9of Health, are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and
10stipulations and to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any
11conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the
12property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more specifically described in any such
13agreements entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of
14administration and the Arc of Acadiana, in exchange of consideration proportionate to the
15appraised value of the property.
16 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
17signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
18by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
19vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
20effective on the day following such approval.
