FUNDS/FUNDING: Establishes the Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture Production Cooperative Endeavor Program and the Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture Production Fund 1 AN ACT 2To enact R.S. 51:2316, relative to the Louisiana Economic Development Programs; to 3 authorize, create, and provide for the establishment of the Louisiana Headquartered 4 Motion Picture Production Fund; to provide for the oversight, administration, use 5 and investment of the monies in the fund; to provide for the Louisiana Headquartered 6 Motion Picture Production Cooperative Endeavor Program; to authorize cooperative 7 endeavors; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters. 8Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 9 Section 1. R.S. 51:2316 is enacted to read as follows: 10ยง2316. Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture Production Cooperative Endeavor 11 Program; Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture Production Fund 12 A. There is hereby established within the state treasury a special fund to be 13 known as the Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture Production Fund, hereinafter 14 "fund". 15 B. The fund shall be comprised of all monies appropriated, donated, or 16 otherwise made available to provide funding for the Louisiana Headquartered 17 Motion Picture Production Cooperative Endeavor Program. 18 C. All revenue received 3 by the state in connection with the Louisiana Headquartered Motion Picture 4 Production Cooperative Endeavor Program shall be dedicated to and deposited into 5 the fund. 6 D. Cooperative Endeavor Agreements. The state is hereby authorized and 7 directed to enter into cooperative endeavor agreements with a qualified production 8 company, for the purpose of collaborating on motion picture projects. 9 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 10signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 11by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 12vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 13effective on the day following such approval.
