Abstract: Increases the driver's license fee by one dollar to benefit the La. Military Family
Assistance Fund.
Present law provides for a class "D" driver's license fee of $42.75, except for residents of the city of
New Orleans. Present law further provides for the distribution of the fee according to present law.
Proposed law increases the class "D" driver's license fee from $42.75 to $43.75, except for residents
of the city of New Orleans. Proposed law further provides for the distribution of the additional $1.00
to the La. Military Family Assistance Fund (fund).
Present law provides for a class "D" driver's license fee of $54.00 for residents of the city of New
Orleans. Present law further provides for the distribution of the fee according to present law.
Proposed law increases the class "D" driver's license fee from $54.00 to $55.00 for residents of the
city of New Orleans. Proposed law further provides for the distribution of the additional $1.00 to
the fund.
Present law provides for a class "E" driver's license fee of $20.25, except for residents of the city of
New Orleans. Present law further provides for the distribution of the fee according to present law.
