Abstract: Exempts residents of Louisiana from any penalty imposed under the Patient Protection
and Affordable Care Act of 2010 for failing to obtain health insurance.
Proposed law exempts Louisiana residents from the penalties imposed by the Affordable Care Act
for failing to obtain health insurance.
Proposed law further requires the heads of executive branch departments and agencies to request
waivers from the penalty provisions of the Affordable Care Act, where applicable.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
