R.S. 48:600.1(B)(1) and (4) and 600.2(B)(1) and (4) are hereby amended 11and reenacted to read as follows: 12 §600.1. District Five Road Commission of St. Landry Parish 13 * * * 14 B.(1) The commissioners of the board shall be appointed by the governing 15 authority of the parish of St. Landry. The governing authority shall appoint one 16 member from each of the thirteen precincts within Police Jury District Five. After 17 August 1, 2017, one member shall be appointed from each of the current number of 18 precincts within Police Jury District Five as certified by the St. Landry Parish 19 register of voters. who Each member appointed shall be a resident of such precinct. Commissioners may serve 8 for two consecutive four-year terms after which the commissioner may be 9 reappointed four years from the completion of his last consecutive term. 10 * * * 11 §600.2.
