HB 67 Original	2017 Regular Session	Norton
Abstract:  Prohibits any person from supplying a child who is twelve years old or younger with an
Uzi submachine gun and provides penalties for commission of the offense.
Proposed law prohibits any person from engaging in any of the following:
(1)Giving, selling, donating, providing, lending, delivering, or otherwise transferring an Uzi
submachine gun to any child who is 12 years of age or younger.
(2)Temporarily transferring an Uzi submachine gun to any child who is 12 years of age or
younger for use in target shooting or on a firing or shooting range or for any other purpose.
Proposed law provides that whoever violates proposed law shall be subject to the following
penalties:
(1)On a first conviction - a fine of up to $1,000.
(2)On a second conviction - a fine of up to $5,000.
(3)On a third or subsequent conviction - imprisonment for not more than six months.
