Urges and requests the La. Cancer Prevention and Control Programs of the School of Public
Health of the LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans to lead a collaborative effort to
improve cancer investigation and intervention functions in this state, and to develop
recommendations concerning effective and responsible practices for issuing local public
health notifications regarding cancer incidence.
Provides that La. Cancer Prevention and Control Programs shall issue a report of such
recommendations to the legislative committees on health and welfare no later than 30 days
prior to the convening of the 2018 R.S.
