Establishes the Commission on Assessment Review and Use in Public Schools to review
matters relative to student assessments. Provides for commission membership,
compensation, and duties and for termination of the commission. Provides for a written
report by the commission of its findings and recommendations to the State Bd. of Elementary
and Secondary Education (BESE) and the House and Senate education committees; provides
for a report by BESE in response to the commission's findings and recommendations to the
governor and the House and Senate education committees; and provides for information to
be collected and compiled by the state Dept. of Education for review and consideration by
the commission.
