Provides relative to Tulane Legislative Scholarships. (8/1/17) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R. S. 17:1891 within Chapter 6 of Title 17 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 3 1950, relative to granting of free tuition by Tulane University; to provide relative to 4 the Tulane Legislative Scholarship; to require that a student's legislative scholarship 5 be applied toward his financial obligations before certain other award amounts; and 6 to provide for related matters. 7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 8 Section 1. R.S. 17:1891 is hereby enacted within Chapter 6 of Title 17 of the 9 Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to read as follows: 10 ยง1891. Tulane Legislative Scholarship; payment 11 For a student enrolled in Tulane University who is the recipient of both 12 a Tulane Legislative Scholarship and an award pursuant to the Taylor 13 Opportunity Program for Students, the university shall apply the full amount 14 of the Tulane Legislative Scholarship toward the student's financial obligations 15 to the university before applying any award amounts provided through the 16 Taylor Opportunity Program for Students.
