LEVEES.  Repeals provision that prohibits a commissioner of the St. Tammany Levee,
Drainage and Conservation District, whose term is expired, from continuing to serve or vote.

1	AN ACT
2 To repeal R.S. 38:291(V)(5), relative to certain levee, drainage and conservation districts;
3 to repeal provision that prohibits a commissioner of the St. Tammany Levee,
4 Drainage and Conservation District, whose term is expired, from continuing to serve
5 or vote notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary; and to provide for
6 related matters.
7	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1.  R.S. 38:291(V)(5) is hereby repealed.
10 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
11 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
12 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
13 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
14 effective on the day following such approval.
