EARLY CHILDHOOD ED. Provides relative to health-related policies established by certain early learning centers. (gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 17:407.50.1, relative to early learning centers; to provide relative to health- 3 related policies established by early learning centers; to provide for parental 4 notification; and to provide for related matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 17:407.50.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง407.50.1. Health-related policies; parental notification 8 Each licensed early learning center shall provide a written copy of all 9 health-related policies established by the center, including policies regarding 10 accidents, allergic reactions, fever, illness, immunizations, infection, and 11 injuries, to the parent or guardian of each child attending or enrolled in the 12 early learning center. Such policies shall be binding upon the child's parent or 13 legal guardian. 14 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 15 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 16 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. DIGEST SB 255 Original 2017 Regular Session Morrell Proposed law requires each licensed early learning center to provide a written copy of all health-related policies established by the center, including policies regarding accidents, allergic reactions, fever, illness, immunizations, infection, and injuries, to the parent or guardian of each child attending or enrolled in the early learning center.
