ACT 256 (SB 255) 2017 Regular Session Morrell
New law requires each licensed early learning center to provide a written copy of all
health-related policies established by the center, including policies regarding accidents,
allergic reactions, fever, illness, immunizations, infection, and injuries, to the parent or
guardian of each child attending or enrolled in the early learning center. Further provides that
these policies are binding upon the early learning center and the child's parent or legal
guardian.
Provides that provisions contained in new law shall not be construed to provide any
exemption or exclusion to any protections or waivers established by law.
Effective upon signature of the governor (June 14, 2107).
