ACT 283 (SB 3) 2017 Regular Session Boudreaux
Prior law provided for the membership of the board of trustees for the Registrar of Voters
Employees' Retirement System (ROVERS):
(1)A member of the House Committee on Retirement appointed by the speaker of the
House of Representatives, or the member's designee.
(2)The chairman of the Senate Committee on Retirement, ex officio, or his designee.
(3)Six active and contributing members of the system who shall have at least 10 years
of creditable service in the ROVERS who shall be elected by the members of
ROVERS.
New law provides for two additional members, the secretary of state, ex officio, or his
designee and the state treasurer, ex officio, or his designee.
Effective June 30, 2017.
