COMMENDATIONS. Commends Tiffany Dickerson on her reign as Mrs. Baton Rouge
2016.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Tiffany Dickerson on her reign as Mrs. Baton Rouge 2016.
3 WHEREAS, in June 2016, Tiffany Dickerson was crowned Mrs. Baton Rouge; and
4 WHEREAS, during the competition, she showcased her beauty, grace, and
5 intelligence; and
6 WHEREAS, since that time, Tiffany has served as a role model for young ladies and
7 married women across the Greater Baton Rouge area; and
8 WHEREAS, she also competed on the state level in the Mrs. Louisiana America
9 pageant, a competition which epitomizes the traditions of fairness, professionalism, and
10 character; and
11 WHEREAS, as a wife, mother of two, twenty-year veteran in the communications
12 and public relations industry, small business owner, and stand-up comedian, Tiffany has
13 worn her crown with dignity as a public symbol for local wives and mothers juggling
14 multiple hats; and
15 WHEREAS, she has given back to the Baton Rouge community through her platform
16 by helping to raise awareness and funding for various entities and nonprofit organizations
17 including Junior League of Baton Rouge, American Cancer Services of Greater Baton
18 Rouge, Chosen Generation Foundation, Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network,

1 Jessica's Bra Closet, and the Jewel J. Newman Community Center; and
2 WHEREAS, Tiffany strives to make a positive impact on others by building
3 confidence in others, empowering individuals to live the best life they can, and inspiring
4 women to pursue their purpose and dreams; and
5 WHEREAS, during her exciting and memorable reign, she fulfilled several once-in-a
6 lifetime experiences by appearing on the Home and Garden Television show, House
7 Hunters, in an episode entitled "Bigger in Baton Rouge", by starring in an independent short
8 film, and by competing in a celebrity lip sync battle; and
9 WHEREAS, the success of the state of Louisiana, the strength of our communities,
10 and the overall vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon role models like
11 Tiffany Dickerson who provide inspiration and hope for Louisiana's young and married
12 women to set high goals for themselves and work tirelessly to achieve them.
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
14 does hereby commend and congratulate Tiffany Dickerson, Mrs. Baton Rouge 2016, on her
15 numerous accomplishments and does hereby extend its best wishes for continued success in
16 all her future endeavors.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
18 Tiffany Dickerson.
