SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 165

A RESOLUTION
To commend Teunna Perry on her outstanding achievements as a student and an athlete.
WHEREAS, high school students are bombarded with various pressures and
challenges that can serve as distractions from their ability to excel; and
WHEREAS, Teunna Perry remains undeterred in her determination to succeed both
as an athlete and a student by maintaining a perfect grade point average while earning the
title of State Champion in Class A long jump and triple jump; and
WHEREAS, Teunna's superior athleticism is not limited to track and field, her talent
as a star basketball player is without question; and
WHEREAS, Plain Dealing High School is afforded the opportunity to count an
impressive list of accomplishments by their student Teunna Perry that will continue to grow
before her graduation next year; and
WHEREAS, in addition to leading by example as an extraordinary athlete, Teunna
Perry is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes which is an interdenominational
Christian sports ministry to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence
of coaches and athletes.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Teunna Perry for her amazing accomplishments as a student and an
athlete.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Teunna Perry.
