SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 175

FUNDS/FUNDING. Requests the Senate Fiscal Affairs staff to report annually information
relative to certain statutory dedications.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To urge and request the Senate Fiscal Affairs staff to provide to each member of the Senate
3 annually a report of all new statutory dedications created during the most recent
4 regular session of the legislature.
5 WHEREAS, present law provides for numerous statutorily created dedications for
6 a variety of purposes and uses; and
7 WHEREAS, in order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities associated with the
8 Senate's consideration and passage of legislative instruments appropriating monies for the
9 ordinary operating expenses of all three branches of state government, it is necessary to
10 obtain up-to-date information on statutorily created dedications, and such information shall
11 include the identifying number of the legislative act, the revenue source of the dedicated
12 funds, the entity receiving the dedicated funds, and the anticipated funding level.
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
14 does hereby urge and request the Senate Fiscal Affairs staff to provide each member of the
15 Senate annually a report of all statutory dedications created during the most recent regular
16 session of the legislature.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the report include the identifying number of the
18 legislative act, the revenue source of the dedicated funds, the entity receiving the dedicated

1 funds, and the anticipated funding level.
2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the report shall be completed and distributed to
3 the members of the Senate no later than September first of each year, beginning September
4 1, 2017.
