COMMENDATIONS. Commends Dr. Kyle Machen on being named the 2017-2018 Bossier
Parish Middle School Principal of the Year.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Dr. Kyle Machen on being named the 2017-2018 Bossier Parish Middle
3 School Principal of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Dr. Kyle Machen graduated from Bossier Parish schools and earned his
5 doctorate in 2013; and
6 WHEREAS, he was an assistant principal before becoming principal of Benton
7 Middle School; and
8 WHEREAS, Dr. Machen leads Benton Middle School, a high performing middle
9 school, with an emphasis on professional learning communities; and
10 WHEREAS, he is considered a forerunner on innovative middle school educational
11 trends; and
12 WHEREAS, Dr. Machen's professional accolades include seventeen years as an
13 educator and four years as a principal; and
14 WHEREAS, it is fitting to commend Dr. Kyle Machen for being named the
15 2017-2018 Bossier Parish Middle School Principal of the Year.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
17 does hereby commend Dr. Kyle Machen upon his recognition as the 2017-2018 Bossier
18 Parish Middle School Principal of the Year and does hereby extend best wishes for

1 continued success as he cultivates the best and brightest of Louisiana's children and inspires
2 them to achieve excellence in the years to come.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Dr.
4 Kyle Machen.
