2017 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 207 BY SENATOR MORRISH A RESOLUTION To commend Hallie Boudreaux on being named Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School's Elementary Rookie Teacher of the Year. WHEREAS, Hallie Boudreaux began teaching second grade at Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the beginning of the 2016 school year, shortly after receiving a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; and WHEREAS, from the moment Ms. Boudreaux stepped on to the Walnut Hill campus, she has exhibited professionalism and a dedication to excellence; and WHEREAS, Hallie Boudreaux creates a welcoming and attractive environment in her classroom; and WHEREAS, she provides well-prepared, engaging lessons that ensure her students master the subject matters taught; and WHEREAS, her compassionate yet consistent classroom management style exhibits her dedication to Walnut Hill's expectations for outstanding behavior and academics; and WHEREAS, Ms. Boudreaux's commitment to helping improve her school and the community is displayed through all of her interactions with students, teachers, staff, and parents; and WHEREAS, Ms. Boudreaux has agreed to take on additional roles for the 2017-2018 school year as the school's cheerleading sponsor and a teacher leader. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Hallie Boudreaux on being named Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School's Elementary Rookie Teacher of the Year.
