(Item #10 and 11) (gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To repeal R.S. 48:25.2(D), relative to special treasury funds; to repeal the termination date 3 of the New Orleans Ferry Fund. 4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 5 Section 1. R.S. 48:25.2(D) is hereby repealed in its entirety. 6 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 7 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 8 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 9 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 10 effective on the day following such approval. The original instrument was prepared by Jerry J. DIGEST SB 19 Reengrossed 2018 Second Extraordinary Session Carter Present law (R.S. 48:25.2) provides for the establishment of the New Orleans Ferry Fund, and requires the treasurer to deposit into the Fund an amount equal to the total of all of the funds derived from the collection of registration and license fees and taxes collected in Orleans Parish, after compliance with certain requirements of the Constitution of Louisiana, and other certain statutory requirements.
