SB 19 Reengrossed 2018 Second Extraordinary Session Carter
Present law (R.S. 48:25.2) provides for the establishment of the New Orleans Ferry Fund, and
requires the treasurer to deposit into the Fund an amount equal to the total of all of the funds derived
from the collection of registration and license fees and taxes collected in Orleans Parish, after
compliance with certain requirements of the Constitution of Louisiana, and other certain statutory
requirements.
Present law terminates the New Orleans Ferry Fund on June 30, 2018.
Proposed law repeals the termination date of the New Orleans Ferry Fund in present law.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
