COMMENDATIONS. Commends and congratulates Danny Wilson on his forty-fifth
service anniversary at AT&T Louisiana.
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2 To commend Danny Wilson on his forty-fifth service anniversary at AT&T Louisiana.
3 WHEREAS, Assistant Vice President Danny Wilson celebrated his forty-fifth service
4 anniversary at AT&T Louisiana on April 4, 2018; and
5 WHEREAS, a native of Delhi, Louisiana, Mr. Wilson began his career in 1973 as an
6 outside sales canvasser in the rural areas of north Louisiana working to eliminate party lines;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, just four months later he was promoted and moved to Shreveport,
9 Louisiana, as a development supervisor; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson's next position with the company was in Lake Charles,
11 Louisiana, as an economic forecaster; and
12 WHEREAS, he soon became the business office manager where part of his
13 responsibilities included meeting with local government officials and the legislators in
14 southwest Louisiana; and
15 WHEREAS, seven years later he was promoted to district manager for Lafayette and
16 Lake Charles; and
17 WHEREAS, in 2003 he was promoted to his current position of Executive Director
18 of Legislative Affairs/Assistant Vice President in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and

1 WHEREAS, for over four decades, Mr. Wilson has shown his dedication, accuracy,
2 and work ethic in the External and Legislative Affairs Division of AT&T Louisiana; and
3 WHEREAS, he has witnessed the transition from telephone party lines to the
4 introduction of hand-held cellular devices and the evolution of the internet and social media;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, his tenure at AT&T Louisiana is a remarkable accomplishment that
7 inspires others to strive for long-term dedication; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson sets an example through his commitment to excellence and
9 strong work ethic for which he is highly esteemed by his peers and dearly loved at AT&T.
10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
11 acknowledge the numerous outstanding accomplishments of Assistant Vice President Danny
12 Wilson and congratulate him on his forty-fifth service anniversary at AT&T Louisiana.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
14 Danny Wilson.
