R.S. 30:544(A)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง544. Violation; penalties, civil and criminal 7 A.(1) Any person who shall be determined by the assistant secretary, after 8 notice and an opportunity for a hearing, to have violated any provision of this 9 Chapter or any rule, regulation, or order promulgated or issued under this Chapter 10 shall be liable to the office of conservation for a civil penalty not to exceed ten two 11 hundred thousand dollars for each violation for each day that the violation persists, 12 except that the maximum civil penalty shall not exceed five hundred thousand two 13 million dollars for any related series of violations. 14 * * * DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services.
