GAMING:  Provides with respect to the exclusion or ejection of certain persons from
gaming establishments.
DIGEST
Present law requires the Gaming Control Board to establish a list of persons to be excluded
from gaming establishments for the following reasons:
(1)Career or professional offenders as defined by rules of the board.
(2)Persons convicted of a criminal offense as specified by the board.
(3)Persons whose presence would be adverse to the interests of Louisiana or gaming
operations.
Proposed law retains present law and lists the following persons who may be excluded
pursuant to present administrative rules promulgated by the board:
(1)Persons suspected of cheating.
(2) Persons whose gaming privileges, permits, or licenses have been suspended, revoked,
or denied.
(3)Persons who pose a threat to the safety of the patrons or employees of the casino
operator or casino manager or any casino gaming licensee.
(4)Persons with a documented history of conduct involving the disruption of the gaming
operations in any jurisdiction.
(5)Persons subject to an order of a Louisiana court excluding such persons from any
gaming establishment.
(6)Persons with pending charges for a gaming or gambling crime or a crime related to
the integrity of gaming operations.
Proposed law further adds that a person may not be excluded from a gaming establishment
for reasons based solely on the skill level of the person. 
Present law provides that gaming operators, licensees, or permittees may exclude or eject any
person for any reason, except on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, or
disability. 
Proposed law removes the authority to exclude or eject persons for any reason and provides
that gaming operators, licensees, or permittees may exclude or eject persons who engage in
unlawful or disruptive conduct.
Proposed law prohibits the exclusion of persons from a gaming establishment based upon
race, color, creed, national origin, sex, or disability.
