HLS 18RS-694 ORIGINAL 2018 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 153 BY REPRESENTATIVE MACK CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: Adds certain substances to Schedule I and Schedule II of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law 1 AN ACT 2To amend and reenact R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(A)(1)(introductory paragraph) and to enact 3 R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(61) and (C)(64), relative to controlled dangerous 4 substances; to provide relative to opiates and hallucinogenic substances; to provide 5 for additional prohibited controlled dangerous substances; and to provide for related 6 matters. 7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 8 Section 1. R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(A)(1)(introductory paragraph) is hereby 9amended and reenacted and R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(61) and (C)(64) are hereby enacted 10to read as follows: 11 ยง964. Composition of schedules 12 Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S. 13 40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official 14 name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated: 15 SCHEDULE I 16 A. Opiates. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed 5 in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation, which 6 contains any quantity of the following hallucinogenic substances, or which contains 7 any of their salts, isomers, or salts of isomers, whenever the existence of such salts, 8 isomers, or salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical designation, for 9 purposes of this Paragraph only, the term "isomer" includes the optical, position, and 10 geometric isomers: 11 * * * 12 (64) Deschloroketamine (2-phenyl-2(methylamino) cyclohexanone) 13 * * * 14 SCHEDULE II 15 A. Substances of vegetable origin or chemical synthesis.
