1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(A)(1)(introductory paragraph) and to enact
3 R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(61) and (C)(64), relative to controlled dangerous
4 substances; to provide relative to opiates and hallucinogenic substances; to provide
5 for additional prohibited controlled dangerous substances; and to provide for related
6 matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(A)(1)(introductory paragraph) is hereby
9 amended and reenacted and R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(61) and (C)(64) are hereby enacted
10 to read as follows:
11 ยง964. Composition of schedules
12 Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S.
13 40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official
14 name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated:
15 SCHEDULE I
16 A. Opiates. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule,
17 any of the following opiates, including their isomers, esters, ethers, salts, or salts of
18 isomers, esters, and ethers, whenever the existence of such isomers, esters, ethers,
19 or salts is possible within the specific chemical designation:

1 C. Hallucinogenic substances. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed
2 in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation, which
3 contains any quantity of the following hallucinogenic substances, or which contains
4 any of their salts, isomers, or salts of isomers, whenever the existence of such salts,
5 isomers, or salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical designation, for
6 purposes of this Paragraph only, the term "isomer" includes the optical, position, and
7 geometric isomers:

11 SCHEDULE II
12 A. Substances of vegetable origin or chemical synthesis. Unless specifically
13 excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any of the following substances
14 whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable
15 origin, or independently by means of chemical synthesis, or by a combination of
16 extraction and chemical synthesis:
17 (1) Opium and opiate, and any salt, compound, isomer, derivative, or
18 preparation of opium or opiate, excluding apomorphine, thebaine-derived
19 butorphanol, dextrorphan, nalbuphine, naldemedine, nalmefene, naloxegol,
20 naloxone, and naltrexone, and their respective salts, but including the following:
