Abstract:  Requires a 30-day notice to be provided to peace officers prior to a P.O.S.T. revocation
hearing date. 
Present law provides the criteria for which a peace officer's P.O.S.T. certification must be revoked. 
Additionally, it provides other criteria that may result in the revocation of a peace officer's P.O.S.T.
certification. All P.O.S.T. hearings are required to be conducted according to the rules promulgated
by the council.  
Proposed law requires a 30-day notice to be provided to peace officers prior to a revocation hearing.
