Existing law provides the criteria for which a peace officer's P.O.S.T. certification must be
revoked. Existing law provides other criteria that may result in the revocation of a peace
officer's P.O.S.T. certification. Requires P.O.S.T. hearings to be conducted according to the
rules promulgated by the council.
New law retains existing law and requires a 30-day notice to be provided to peace officers
prior to a revocation hearing.
Effective August 1, 2018.
