Abstract: Adds the possibility of hard labor to the criminal sentence for a violation of the crime of
illegally supplying a felon with a firearm.
Present law provides for the crime of illegally supplying a felon with a firearm. Provides criminal
penalties including imprisonment for not more than five years and a potential fine of not less than
$1,000 nor more than $5,000. At least one year of the sentence imposed shall be served without
benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
Proposed law adds "with or without hard labor" and otherwise retains present law.
