R.S. 32:408(A)(5)(b)(i) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as 8follows: 9 ยง408. Present law allows an applicant regularly employed within the last 90 days in a military position requiring operation of a commercial motor vehicle to waive the skills test required to obtain a commercial driver's license. Proposed law increases the time period an applicant must be regularly employed in a military position requiring operation of a commercial motor vehicle to waive the skills test required to obtain a commercial driver's license from 90 days to 12 months.
