Prior law provided for a list of accreditation bodies which the Dept. of Public Safety and
Corrections (department) was authorized to use to issue permits for the purposes of chemical
analysis testing.
New law removes the list of accreditation bodies and instead allows the department to use
an individual or laboratory with an accreditation based upon the international standard,
ISO/IEC 17025, for the purposes of chemical analysis testing.
Effective August 1, 2018.
