ACT 94 (HB 434) 2018 Regular Session Hensgens
Existing law authorizes parishes to create hospital service districts. Provides that the
governing authority of the parish in which the district is located may permit per diem to each
member of the commission not less than $25 nor more than $40 for each day of his
attendance at commission meetings, not to exceed 12 regular meetings per year, payable out
of the funds of the hospital service district.
New law increases the maximum per diem for members of the governing board of Vermilion
Parish Hospital Service District No. 3 to $125. Authorizes payment of per diem to such
members for four special meetings per year, in addition to the 12 regular meetings.
Effective August 1, 2018.
