MTR VEHICLE/DRIVER LIC: Provides for a voluntary fee on driver's license applications
to benefit the Military Family Assistance Fund
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 32:412(A)(8), relative to driver's license fees; to provide for a voluntary
3 donation to the Louisiana Military Family Assistance Fund; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 32:412(A)(8) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง412. Amount of fees; credit or refund; duration of license; veteran designation;
8 disabled veteran designation; university logo; "I'm a Cajun" designation;
9 disbursement of funds; renewal by mail or electronic commerce of Class "D"
10 or "E" drivers' licenses; disposition of certain fees; exception

13 (8) An applicant may choose to donate one dollar in addition to the license
14 fee required by this Subsection to the Louisiana Military Family Assistance Fund.

license fee to the La. Military Family Assistance Fund.
Proposed law allows an applicant to donate one dollar in addition to the driver's license fees
provided for in present law to the La. Military Family Assistance Fund.

Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Transportation,
Highways and Public Works to the original bill:
1. Removes proposed law provisions providing for a one dollar increase in Class
"A", "B", "C", "D", and "E" driver's licenses.
The House Floor Amendments to the engrossed bill:
1. Changes the proposed law provision providing for a voluntary donation of one
dollar of the driver's license fee required in present law to a voluntary donation
of one dollar in addition to the driver's license fee required in present law.
