RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 170 (HB 529) 2018 Regular Session Leger Prior law prohibited a person holding a retail dealer's permit from permitting the illegal sale, offering for sale, possession, or permitting the consumption of any type of narcotic or habit forming drug on the premises of certain alcoholic beverage outlets. New law retains existing law as it pertains to prohibiting a person holding a retail dealer's permit from permitting the illegal sale, offering for sale, possession, or permitting the consumption of any type of controlled dangerous substance on the premises. New law expands the prohibition to include all other illegal substances. Effective August 1, 2018. (Amends R.S. 26:90(A)(11) and 286(A)(11))
