RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 557 (HB 546) 2018 Regular Session LeBas Prior law required that the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) promulgate rules establishing a list of required medical and safety equipment that shall be in all ambulances and emergency medical response vehicles. New law requires an ambulance or emergency medical response vehicle provider to maintain a policy identifying the equipment needed on its vehicles. New law establishes minimum requirements to include basic trauma equipment, drugs, suction and oxygen equipment, CPR equipment, and any other equipment required by law. Effective August 1, 2018. (Amends R.S. 40:1135.1(A)(3) and 1135.2(B)(1))
