RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 99 (HB 620) 2018 Regular Session Gary Carter Existing law provides for the disclosure of vital records. New law requires the state registrar of vital records to provide a certified copy of a death certificate to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs upon written request for the purpose of determining veterans' benefits. New law adds that the state registrar may submit data related to deaths of veterans directly to the United States Department of Veterans' Affairs in determining the eligibility of veteran's benefits.
