R.S. 32:429.4(A)(5) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 §429.4. Present law authorizes a person to enter into an installment agreement with the Dept. of Public Safety, office of motor vehicles for the payment of outstanding penalties, fines, or fees owed to the office of motor vehicle. Proposed law requires a person receive a hearing to determine their means and ability to pay prior to entering into any installment agreement for the payment of outstanding penalties, fines, or fees owed to the office of motor vehicles.
