ACT 460 (HB 678) 2018 Regular Session Talbot
Designates the proposed airport flyover road for the Louis Armstrong International Airport
as the "Henry A. Smith, Jr. Memorial Road".
Designates La. Hwy. 3139, also known as the Earhart Expressway, as the "Francis E. 'Hank'
Lauricella Memorial Expressway".
Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting the La. Hwy. 3139 designation provided local or private
monies are received by DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting
posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
Directs DOTD to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting the designation of the
flyover road at the Louis Armstrong International Airport if and when the proposed airport
flyover road or ramp is completed provided local or private monies are received by DOTD
equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each
sign, not to exceed the sum of $1,680 per sign. Specifies that new law will only take effect
upon the completion of the proposed flyover or ramp for the Louis Armstrong International
Airport.
